Karen Sin

Karen is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and completed a Master of Family-Centred Practice and Family Therapy, as well as a Master of Social Work from the University of Hong Kong. She is passionate about supporting children, youth, and families along with specialized training with play therapy, expressive arts, and family therapy.

Currently, she works with the North York Family Health Team on the Children and Youth Team. She is also the founder and clinical director of Life Inspiration Psychotherapy, where she provides assessment and therapy for a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, relational distress, childhood trauma, family and couple conflicts, LGBTQ+ and gender-related concerns, parenting challenges, and supporting families of children with special education needs and disabilities. In addition, she provides clinical supervision for Master of Social Work students. Given her upbringing in Hong Kong and North America, she is excited to be part of this initiative to provide evidence-based information to Cantonese-speaking families.
